I WISH I COULD RUN LIKE A RIVER

I wish I could run like a river... I'd know my life would belong... Everybody would love me in pictures... they'd all come to hear my song. And I'd know nobody could steer me... from this only path that I know... and I'd finally find some direction... I couldn't be told not to go... ... ... ... ... ... Rivers don't ask any questions... Makes me wonder what it is that they know... They just keep moving on, with no right or wrong... And never wonder which way they should go. Sometimes they love to just run through town... And never say hello or goodbye... They know it's no good to just lie around... But when it rains they love to get high... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... I wish I could run like a river... ... ... all my power would come from the rain... ... ... In the moonlight, I'd shine like silver... ... ... in the sunlight I'd dance like flames... ... And I could serenade angels above me, who wouldn't give a damn if I'm dammed... And this whole world would love me... just because of the way that I am... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Rivers don't ask any questions... Makes me wonder what it is that they know... They just keep moving on, with no right or wrong... And never wonder which way they should go... Sometimes they love to just run through town... And never say hello or goodbye... They know it's no good to just lie around... But when it rains they love to get high.

I wrote my first song on the banks of this river

back when The Dead Sea was

still feeling pretty good.

I was 17.

Since then I’ve been told my songs should be

heard by a broader audience.

I built this website to pursue that idea

I  suppose it could be called “online busking”.

Here you are free to download the songs and

listen whenever and wherever you want.

Use of headgear is highly encouraged.

Also included is a collection of some of my

best photos and other writings.

If you find value here and want to help me out

I respectfully invite you to

PLEASE CLICK

YES HE NEEDS A LOBOTOMY

If you have given me the gift of listening I will

always be grateful to you for that.

    1. Thank you very much and I’m glad you noticed the changes. Since I had no real experience in designing a website the learning curve has been HUGE! I plan to keep adding content so check back once in a while. And USE HEADGEAR!

    “My Poor Four-Tired Friend”

What a great song you’ve written about an automobile, in this case a van. We’ve all had a car – maybe our first, second, or even our last car that kept on rolling on a wing and a prayer. You’ve chronicled its service to the owner with humor and heart.

    1. Thanks for listening! I guess I will never be certain whether My Poor Four-Tired Friend was used on an episode of Car Talk. Memories of driving that 1969 Ford Econoline feel as if it happened twenty lifetimes ago. I’m grateful to receive your comments.
